If you are anything like us, you are probably excited and nervous in equal measure about non-essential shops reopening on Monday 12th April
We just wanted to take this opportunity to reassure you that while we are delighted to be reopening, we are making sure that the health and safety of both our customers and staff is our number one priority.
We have already done a thorough risk assessment and reviewed all our processes to ensure they adhere to government guidelines. In addition, we are putting into place a number of measures to reduce the chances of coronavirus transmission via items for sale in our store.
Please find below a list of measures we are taking and if you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call or drop us a line.
Keeping the workplace clean
Before we reopen the workshop and showroom on Monday, both will be deep cleaned. In addition, we will continue to disinfect both areas throughout the day, along with any devices and equipment we use.
All staff members have been advised on all the procedures and actions to be taken both at home and at work and will wash their hands and sanitise regularly throughout the day.
Maintaining social distancing at all times
We will be maintaining social distancing guidelines within the store and we ask all customers to adhere to this.
Given our store is quite small, we are only allowing 2 customers into the shop at any one time, so we apologise in advance if you are kept waiting.
In addition, there will be protective screens on both the counters and desks and staff will wear any necessary PPE, such as face shields, masks and gloves.
Ensuring jewellery is safe to try on
A big part of jewellery shopping is the pleasure of trying it on, so we are doing everything we can to make sure you can still do this.
Any jewellery that comes into the store will be sanitised before we even look at it. You are welcome to try on any jewellery during your visit, but we ask that you use the hand sanitiser both before and after you try it on. Once you have finished, we will then thoroughly sanitise any jewellery before the next customer.
Planning your visit
If you are planning on coming to visit us, we recommend you phone ahead to make an appointment. We can then have the jewellery you’re interested in ready and waiting for your visit.
In addition, please:
- Maintain the 2m social distancing at all times.
- Use the hand sanitiser provided at the entrance both before you come into the shop and again when you leave.
- If you are wearing a mask, please only put it on once you are past the first door. This is for security reasons.
- Make contactless payments where possible, although we will be accepting cash.
And please, if you are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms, please follow the self-isolation guidelines.
Book an in-store appointment
We look forward to seeing you soon. In the meantime, please stay safe and well.
